The developer who coined this word must have really thought it over.
Because it really represents almost all those who live in the African, Asian and Australian continents that contains it and the Oceanians that live within it, and thus proclaiming out loudly that the ocean belongs to all of them, while kicking out the name given by the later colonial powers in tribute to the first generation colonial occupiers (24°41'49.2698"N 76°27'37.7503"E) who settled along the sindhi aka sindhu river around the 2nd century BC and by whose name the later colonial powers named the South Asian Peninsular region.
